At 14 Chantel was told by a major label, "great voice, but girls don't play guitar like that!" Ignoring this, she continued her passion and became a pro musician. Her superb live shows, song-writing and albums are rock for the new age, played with natural virtuosity. Chantel’s two studio albums and a live album have drawn great critical acclaim: - ‘The girl can obviously shred but she does so in a very understated & controlled way.’ ‘The album is full of great guitar work, but Chantel McGregor isn’t just a guitar player, she does the vocals and they are equally impressive. ‘Without a doubt this young lady is heading for stratospheric heights & if this album isn’t up for awards along with Chantel this year, I will be very surprised’. The single, Take The Power, was playlisted on national radio for 5 weeks. In December 2019, Guitar World Magazine (USA) declared ‘Bury’d Alive’ as the 11th best guitar album of the decade. Chantel is currently writing her third studio album and was recording an acoustic album when Covid-19 hit. During lockdown, she has performed a popular weekly Facebook Livestream (The Shed Session) every Saturday at 5pm UK time. US record label, Cleopatra Records, released Chantel’s rock cover of Lady Gaga's single 'Stupid Love' in May 2020, which can be found on all streaming/download websites. In May 2020, Chantel was asked by Hard Rock Hell Radio to present a weekly 2 hour show, which goes out every Monday at 10am UK time.
